Monitor the TDM STM-1 infrastructure using IP probes, save money and optimize the whole monitoring system
E-315B at a glance
- TDM Voice to IP conversion
- SS7 to SIGTRAN (MTP-2 to M2UA)
- STM-1 interfaces
- No need to customize any IP probe
Ethernizer E-315B Signalling and Voice allow an IP probe to monitor multiple STM-1 channelized links (VC-12/DS0-64Kb/s), carrying SS7 Signalling and Voice simultaneously.
They provide protocol conversion from SS7 (MTP-2) to SIGTRAN (M2UA) and RTP (Real-Time Transport Protocol) encapsulation of TDM Voice Data Streams. Ethernizer E-315B can be used to feed IP monitoring tools with both TDM Signalling and Voice information, to provide complete visibility of the end-to-end connection.
Ethernizer E-315B implement L2GRE/NVGRE tunnel encapsulation, so making possible to deliver IP packets to IP probes which are not co-located with TDM links. Layer1 and Layer2 alarms are detected and made available through SNMP trap.
- No need for legacy probes: IP probes can interface TDM links, both Signaling and Voice channels
- No additional IP probes are required: output traffic can be delivered to centralized IP tools, using L2GRE tunnel encapsulation
- Fully compliant with SIGTRAN standard, no need to customize the IP probe
- All information are captured from the TDM links, layer 1 and layer 2 alarms are available through SNMP traps
