Aster A-648 Packet Broker provides a comprehensive Network Packet Brokering for all link speeds from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps.
Designed with a 1U box, Aster A-648 provides 16×1/10/25G, 32×10/25G and 8×40/100G ports, so making possible to interface network traffic with a single device, no matter if 1Gbps, 10Gbps, 25Gbps, 40Gbps or 100Gbps interfaces are used, and to aggregate, filter and load balance it towards the monitoring tools at different speeds.
A-648 implements Advanced Packet Manipulation (APM) functionalities, like Packet Slicing, Header Stripping and Tunnel Encapsulation/Decapsulation capabilities, to improve monitoring tools efficiency and send and get data to/from NFV infrastructure.
- Possibility to interface all link speed with one only device: 1/10/25/40/100 Gb/s ports are available in 1U space
- By doing header stripping on a variety of tunnels, allows monitoring tools to process traffic flows that they otherwise could not recognize because of an unreadable header type
- Feed the monitoring tools with the right data, by filtering the network traffic up to L4, using both inner and outer parameters
- Ready for NFV and 5G infrastructure monitoring: thanks to its advanced tunnel capabilities it can get data from and send data to the virtual infrastructure
